This residential-led development comprises 572 apartments, of which 212 are affordable. Rolfe Judd’s sensitive approach to design has ensured the successful integration of private and affordable components; the affordable housing plays an equal role in the overall layout by forming the third edge to the square, while the elevations of both types utilise the same high quality materials. A new public square at the heart of the site is surrounded at ground level by a mix of uses – gym, crèche, supermarket, retail, and office – which attract residents and members of the public alike, and encourage city life and vitality.
