The challenging brief for this project called for the refurbishment and extension of a Grade II listed late Victorian former music printing works with recital rooms, into a contemporary office environment suitable for high technology users. Crisp, clean minimal interventions have been introduced into the building, disturbing the existing fabric as little as possible, whilst creating a dramatic new use of space. New glass stair envelopes rise up within the lightwells clustered around a new core containing lifts and WCs.
