Angel Way, Romford
This project will redevelop a vacant retail site at the edge of Romford Town Centre with a mixed-use development of 350 residential units, a 63-bedroom hotel, ground-floor mixed retail, basement car parking and a new public square. Following the refusal of planning permission by the LPA, Rolfe Judd was given a first instruction by the client to review the decision and pursue the scheme at appeal. The scheme was considered at Public Inquiry where concerns of the Council regarding design and residential amenity were dismissed by the Inspector and the appeal allowed.
