D’Urton Lane Mosque, Preston

We are delighted to learn that proposals for a new mosque in Preston have been finally approved by the Secretary of State.

The scheme, designed by Luca Poian Forms was the winner of an International RIBA competition in 2021 and achieved planning approval early in 2022. It was then called in by the Secretary of State and was the subject of a 2 week Public Inquiry in August 2022.

Our former Main Board Director and current Design Consultant Jonathan Carter was one of the RIBA competition judges and spoke in support of the scheme at the Public Inquiry.
