Guildford Scheme Approved
The regeneration of a town centre, brownfield site at Guildford railway station has been approved on appeal. Over 400 new residences of mixed tenure, retail and office accommodation will be provided all based around a new, exciting station and generous, landscaped public square.
“Having been rightly scrutinised, this complex, contextual scheme balances a range of interests. The overall massing uses innovative architectural techniques within the envelope to offer an intelligent and layered approach using materials based on the historic values of the location. It will transform this part of the town centre, contributing to the evolving dialogue of contemporary architecture within Guildford.”
