Works Begin At Guildford Station
We are delighted to see a start to our design for Guildford station take place.
We have been working with Network Rail to redesign Guildford Station and breathe new life into the surrounding area. Similar to our recently completed Twickenham Station project, the redevelopment will provide a new public space and arriving point in Guildford.
This extensive regeneration project will deliver over 400 homes on a truly mixed-use brownfield site. The design includes a new public square, a dynamic gateway to Guildford, with improved pedestrian links to town centre and security and improved and re-configured vehicular movements around the station to improve safety and efficacy.
The attractive residential, retail and office space will surround the Station square and landscaped courtyards whilst consolidated car parking has been maintained within a single multi-storey facility.
The scheme currently being constructed, will provide a modern, attractive, station benefitting a major regional centre, designed to accommodate a growing number of passengers in the coming years and give them a great experience and customer journey. The station entrance will be the focus of an active public forecourt.
The vision is to create an exemplary mixed-use development as the gateway to Guildford, with a focus on creating a brand new high quality station facility. This is to be achieved within a viable, sustainable development that enhances the town centre and plays a key role in the aspirations of the wider Guildford community.
“It will transform this part of the town centre, contributing to the evolving dialogue of contemporary architecture within Guildford.”
