Our Celebratory Fiftieth Year
Last year we celebrated five decades of creativity by collaborating with artists, charities and local community groups. We wanted to make the year a memorable and lasting one. Throughout the year we connected with those around us through many events with our staff, clients, partners and the local community.
To launch the year we worked with Paul Dart of James Glancey Design to create an art piece to light up our facade. The switch-on in January by Centrepoint kicked-off the year. The installation brought a warm and cheerful highlight to the building and our working day.
Our team in London chose to help Centrepoint, we are all aware of homelessness on our daily journeys around the capital. Centrepoint is the UK’s leading charity for homeless young people and supports more than 9,200 16-25 year olds into a home and a job every year.
We came up with many ways to raise money, from monthly office lunches to challenging trekking, running and jumping from great heights; we even slept out all night. Everyone has been amazing and we have raised over £32,000. As well as raising funds we are lucky enough to also be helping with planning and architecture expertise on a training and learning facility in Camberwell.
In Poland we chose to help local charities. Our teams collected an amazing 50 metres of coins of 1PLN and also completed fun run relay races in Warsaw and Katowice. All the events were to help local children’s charities.
We find it inspirational when we work with artists which we often do on our projects. We therefore felt it was right to commission five artists to take inspiration from our work and create a piece of art to help with our fund raising. We held an amazing evening event to sell the art.
