Planning Permission Secured for New Hotel and Offices

Our work with Surrey County Cricket Club continues with two approvals for a site which is adjacent to The Kia Oval cricket ground. The new build, 95 bedroom Oval Hotel is approved and Listed Building Consent is obtained for the refurbishment of the adjacent White House building.

With the relocation of Ovalhouse Theatre to Somerleyton Road in Brixton, the site became available. The old theatre building was unsuitable for refurbishment and will be replaced with a contemporary new hotel. On the same site, the Grade II listed White House will be fully refurbished with a sensitive approach to provide new office space.

“It’s fantastic to have secured another planning permission for Surrey County Cricket club. This is an exciting scheme that compliments our proposals for the Lock Laker Stand.”
Steve Harvey, Director, Rolfe Judd Architecture
