Planning Secured for Queen’s Road
Rolfe Judd Architecture and Planning have collaboratively worked together on behalf of the Richmond Parish Lands Charity to create a sensitive scheme for the Queens Road Estate. Planning permission has been granted following a unanimous decision from the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames’ Planning Committee.
The development includes a respectfully designed 4 storey residential building that completes the street scene along Queens Road and compliments the local historic vernacular and the listed Darbourne and darke housing estate to the south.
The scheme consists of 12 charitable homes, an extension to the existing community centre and improvement works to Dickson House which houses small office studios for growing businesses and charities; all of which will open up on to Cambrian Square a new landscaped recreational space which has been designed to better interact with the surrounding area of the Queens Road estate.
This space will act as a new heart for the local community and create a welcoming beautiful green amenity space for all ages to appreciate.
