Luis Bautista

Luis is primarily involved in large scale residential schemes and regeneration projects of varying sizes, from concept design to planning approval. As design architect, he develops ideas at concept stage and provides detail design through the planning stage. He delivers contemporary design with particular attention to scale, form, and material to ensure the full integration of the design proposals in what are usually complex urban contexts.

Luis has worked in the UK, Europe and Asia on commercial office, transport, urban design, and master planning schemes. Recent regeneration projects include Lee Green in Lewisham, Colosseum Retail Park in Enfield, New Cross Gate in Lewisham, Queen’s Square in Croydon, and Harlow Town Centre in Essex. These projects will transform underused sites into residential and retail mixed-use neighbourhoods. Luis’ other residential led schemes include Balham High Road in Wandsworth, Brickfields in Hayes, Tavistock Gardens in Hillingdon, and the 40-storey tower on Marsh Wall in the Isle of Dogs.

Luis studied at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, graduating with a Diploma in Urbanism, Planning and Environment in 2009 and a Master of Architecture in 2011. Luis joined Rolfe Judd in 2015, became Senior Architect in 2019 and Associate in 2021.
