A complete refurbishment and modernisation of Stratton House. The building is a significant Grade II listed property which sits on Piccadilly overlooking Green Park. It was essential that the external appearance and partially listed interior of the building was preserved as the architecture contributes greatly to the character of the Mayfair Conservation Area.
The existing commercial use of the building was retained, with the office space from the ground floor up to the seventh floor maximised. Floor plates were refurbished and extended out to the rear at the higher levels. Improvements also included infilling the lightwells and inserting four new lift shafts and a new office core whilst preserving the listed ground floor entrance hall. The ground floor commercial unit, Harry’s Bar and Langan’s restaurant continued to trade throughout the construction period.
A specially created and stunning penthouse apartment utilises the entire eighth floor. It incorporates roof-top terrace garden with uninterrupted views over the park. This accommodation is accessed by a separate and discreet entrance, located adjacent to the revamped commercial entrance on Stratton Street, a garage for three cars and staff quarters are located at basement level.
