A residential-led, mixed-use development with an inner oasis, inspired by the nearby wildlife park.
The approved scheme is a comprehensive redevelopment of the site, which was once a used car parking lot and large warehouse outlet unit. It will deliver 386 new homes, a dynamic hub for small businesses and entrepreneurs, commercial space and an attractively landscaped public piazza area.
The concept draws inspiration from the nearby Silk Stream tributary to the Brent Reservoir, aspiring to create a metaphorical extension of this green corridor through the centre of the site, reflecting the landscape. The design of the buildings and public realm builds on this theme with ‘river banks’ and ‘floating’ building forms to emulate the reed beds. Green landscaping with pools of water are introduced to be enjoyed by residents and the local community alike.
