One of a series of station-led, mixed-use projects, to create value and enable station and environmental improvements, for the travelling public. Current schemes include Walthamstow, Guildford, Epsom and Twickenham.
The proposals for Twickenham will provide step free access to a new station for the town, as well as shopping facilities and homes around a new public plaza. The station environment and facilities will be vastly improved with a significantly larger ticket office, new lifts and stairs.
The scheme will also deliver improved connections and links to other transport modes, as well as a new riverside walk along the River Crane, from the station to Moormead Gardens.
The project was taken from inception and feasibility, through planning and production information it is currently under construction.
