Our area of expertise lies in urban development management, including leading planning, listed building and conservation area negotiations in sensitive environmental locations.
 
We have extensive experience with local development framework policy representations, assisting with Section 106 negotiations as well as undertaking planning appeals, public enquiries and providing expert witness evidence. We regularly undertake urban design, masterplanning, environmental assessment and heritage assessment works as and when required by our clients.

We understand the benefits which diversity of thoughts can bring to development projects, ensuring they best meet the needs of the end user and avoid a continuation of the status quo.

To help further address this imbalance, in we sought to implement a series of key measures designed to improve our gender balance and provide staff with the support they may require to progress in the company:

  • RJPL overhauled maternity leave policy and now offers paid leave of 4 months at 100% of salary with a further 2 months at 65% of salary or the option of spreading the total sum due over a 9-month period which would equate to around 60% of salary.
  • RJPL recognises the important role played by fathers and other parents in increasing parental leave to 2 weeks at 100% salary followed by a further 2 weeks at 60% of salary.
  • RJPL staff are encouraged to join industry bodies such as Women in Planning and PREACH Inclusion, with membership fees paid by the company and events sponsored, which actively seek to create an industry which is balanced, diverse and inclusive.
