Willow Walk is now complete, delivering a fantastic regeneration scheme at the heart of the Wandsworth Riverside Quarter.

Rolfe Judd Architecture and Rolfe Judd Planning were instructed by Hollybrook to design an exemplary high-quality mixed-use scheme and a new workspace hub for the area to replace the dilapidated workshop buildings which existed. Delivering flexible workspaces with high quality homes above, this scheme’s approach is a model example of co-location living across London.

The development is formed of three buildings of 10, 11 and 14 storeys delivering 168 homes and 3805sqm of flexible commercial space. Hollybrook and Peabody have delivered this development with 100% of the homes as affordable, meeting the very significant housing needs which exist in Wandsworth.

Its exemplar design took into consideration the constraints of the site, respecting the surrounding residential uses creating a positive contribution to the immediate townscape. Influenced by the history of the site, the osiers basket weave served as an inspiration to the architectural detailing of the exterior. This pioneering façade system was created with a rubber mould-injected technique for a unitised sandwich envelope and celebrated the weave pattern with elegant repetition, offering an exemplary level of quality and joy in the detail. This connection is reflected in its new name, Willow Walk.

It provides finest quality commercial space for the Wandsworth Riverside Quarter, designed to be flexible and suit the needs of a range of potential business needs, from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to larger commercial tenants. 40% of the site area comprises an exciting public realm at the heart of the site. This public realm offers new permeable connections and fulfils the urban design aspirations for the area with Osiers Plaza and Osiers Play Space forming safe and pedestrian friendly hubs for the local community.
