Approval Granted for Great Sutton Street

We are delighted to have just had approval granted for the sensitive extension and remodelling of 19-20 Great Sutton Street, a Victorian warehouse in the heart of Clerkenwell.

The building is within the Hat and Feathers Conservation Area which derives its character and appearance from its industrial history.

The re-design envisages a building which retains its historic character and contribution to the conservation area. The entire building is to be remained and the newly inserted architectural elements are designed to work alongside the existing.

The refurbishment will add an additional new floor plate at fifth floor and will include an external rear terrace area as private amenity.

Some of the other works in the scheme will include the interior renovation of the core and offices spaces, the reconfiguration of building services located at the basement; and the addition of a lift to provide full accessibility access to all levels.

The existing windows and brickwork along the front fa├žade of the internal reconfiguration and the new office floor plate will create a building which meets the modern office demand of the area.

With the imminent arrival of Crossrail at Farringdon Station, the importance of new office space within the area has never been greater.
