Mixed-Use Student Accommodation Scheme Approved

Lambeth Planning Committee have approved the Rudolf Place scheme in Miles Street, Vauxhall for our client Downing. It will provide 841 new student bed spaces as well as office space and community leisure facilities.

The new student bed spaces, will give much needed relief to existing housing stock in the private rented sector, which can be freed up for permanent residential accommodation. New office accommodation of 3,583 sqm and a 201 sqm café will deliver over 160 job opportunities. A brand new gym and rooftop MUGA will be publically accessible and benefit the local community.

As well as the new student beds, the scheme includes community leisure facilities, office accommodation and a ground floor cafe space

The scheme is for the demolition of the existing buildings and redevelopment of 1-18 Rudolf Place, Miles Street. A new landmark building of 37 and 6 storeys will complement the townscape and provide links to adjacent development sites.
