Planning Secured for Malt Street Regeneration

We have secured a resolution to grant planning permission for Malt Street from Southwark’s planning committee. This important scheme for Berkeley Homes is the largest so far in the Old Kent Road Opportunity Area, London’s most exciting new development area.

This great result stems from a thorough understanding of the unique opportunities that can be realised through a commitment to creating a new inclusive neighbourhood. Our work with Berkeley Homes for the potential land assembly and masterplanning has involved detailed discussions. These have been held with a wide range of local and regional officers and politicians. As a result, the project successfully integrates the Councils aspirations for the area and ensures an optimal outcome for our client. The new neighbourhood is designed by Rolfe Judd Architecture and will provide up to 1,300 new homes, and commercial space.
