Plans to Make The Oval the Largest Cricket Ground

Our architecture and planning teams are working with Surrey County Cricket Club on a feasibility and masterplan to increase capacity at The Oval. The club have aspirations to make the historic venue the largest dedicated cricket ground in the world outside India or Australia.

“We have been working successfully with SCCC and the London Borough of Lambeth to improve the capacity and facilities at the iconic Oval cricket ground for a number of years and are delighted to be involved in this exciting and ambitious next step in its evolution.”

As well as additional seating, the scheme will include hospitality areas, conference suites, bars, terraces and office space. It is hoped that a planning application will be submitted in February 2018. The development will be phased with major work starting in Autumn 2019 and undertaken out of season. We have been working with the club for a number of years and recently completed the Peter May Stand.
