Rob takes a leading role in the preparation and submission of a range of complex and often politically-challenging planning applications. He manages a wide range of projects including mixed use commercial and residential schemes.
His most recent work includes securing reserved matters approval for Phase 3 of the Woodberry Down estate renewal project, which will deliver 5,500 new homes in north London. He has also secured permission for a major town centre redevelopment site in Woking comprising 560 residential units and 10,000 sqm of offices.
Rob has extensive experience of planning appeals, including appearing as an expert witness at public inquiries. He also likes to tackle some of the many issues on smaller and medium sized projects. These include advising clients on the rapidly-changing issue of permitted development rights, negotiating through the maze of planning policy to promote development sites and securing consent on sites with numerous planning constraints.
After graduating in 2000 with a Masters in Landscape Planning and Management from the University of Manchester, Rob continued studying and gained a post-graduate Masters in Planning Policy and Practice at London South Bank University. Rob joined Rolfe Judd from Westminster City Council in 2011.
