Carnaby, Foubert’s Place

This scheme forms part of a large mixed-use redevelopment between Carnaby Street and Regent Street, incorporating an enlarged and more efficient retail unit with new residential accommodation above.

This complicated retail redevelopment adjacent to the pedestrian thoroughfare of Foubert’s Place required a sensitive design response. Careful attention was given to the scale and mass of a highly contemporary infill development. The scheme incorporates a partially retained façade, the original fabric being one of the oldest façades in Soho. The use of vibrant, coloured materials in the development’s new façade pays homage to the area’s colourful heritage.

The scheme has delivered a substantial new multi-level retail unit with high quality residential accommodation above.
