A new, high density residential-led mixed-use scheme occupying a prominent river frontage on to both the River Thames and River Lea.
Previously in industrial use, the site includes a Grade II listed Orchard Dry Dock and caisson. The site is also adjacent to Trinity Buoy Wharf, which includes the Grade II listed Experimental Lighthouse and Chain and Buoy store.
The development proposals for the site will deliver 804 residential units within a series of new buildings of up to 30 storeys in height. A key objective of the scheme was to celebrate the site’s rich industrial history by restoring the caisson and forming a new public square around the outline of the dry dock.
Designed by Allies & Morrison the scheme also adopts a contemporary architectural approach, which echoes both the history of the area and the site itself.
