Kingly Court is a small, privately owned courtyard with deck-access accommodation arranged over three floors. Transformed from a location for small businesses the court developed a role as a location for independent shops off the famous Carnaby Street.
Through careful property management, opportunities were taken to create what is a unique, open three level shopping centre in the heart of the West End. Permission was obtained to provide seasonal enclosure to the court ensuring an al-fresco atmosphere for the catering uses established within the court. Utilising flexible use planning permissions and by careful property management the entire court has been repositioned as a destination catering location. The court has become established as a dynamic dining focus in this part of Soho, historically renowned for its fashion heritage.
Restaurants, coffee bars and leisure uses surround the publicly accessible court, providing a function that complements the retail character and function of this part of Soho and supports the attractiveness of the West End’s shopping function.
