Part of the wider regeneration of Hammersmith Town Centre, the scheme sought to replace the existing redundant office buildings on the site with a new development comprising 55 residential units and two commercial units, at ground floor level fronting on to King Street.
The scheme sought to use three separate but connected building forms, ranging in height from three to seven storeys, to introduce new active frontages and address the different environments along King Street, Vencourt Place and Beaver Lane. Improvements to public realm, including the provision of seating and new pavements opposite Ravenscourt Park, are also included.
We took this project from initial pre-application stage through the planning process, engaging comprehensively with stakeholders, local residents and the Council to ensure that the development met all needs and expectations. Planning permission was granted on appeal in August 2014, including the provision of zero affordable housing. The scheme was completed in the autumn of 2016.
