Munro Terrace, Cheyne WalkA heritage scheme in a prominent corner position on the Thames embankment. The building is located within the Cheyne Walk Conservation Area and adjacent to a Grade II listed building. The proposal seeks to rationalise the existing uses within the building whilst providing a sensitive restoration of the front façade and contemporary rear extension. The proposal has carefully utilised traditional materials and architectural detailing to complement the existing historic features of the building and the surrounding heritage. The façade of the existing historic building will be retained and the rear demolished to create 13 new residential apartments and approximate 700 sqm of modern office and retail accommodation. Further works will include an extension to the existing basement and the rear elevation with a new traditional mansard roof.Client: Martin's Properties Holdings LimitedDevelopment Manager: BlackOnyx Developments LimitedLPA: LB Kensington and ChelseaArchitect: Scott BrownriggSectors: Heritage Residential
