The redevelopment of the Riverside Business Centre and former Flip-out trampoline centre provides modern, replacement light-industrial and commercial floorspace alongside the introduction of high quality homes. The scheme comprises the demolition of all existing buildings and the development of a phased mixed-use new build scheme ranging up to nine storeys, to provide Light industrial and Commercial floorspace, and 433 residential units.
The site is within an Economic Use Intensification Area and therefore the reprovision and uplift in light industrial and office use was required to enable the introduction of residential accommodation.
The design of the masterplan is centred upon the generous new Wandle Walk Riverside Park, providing substantial improvement to the public realm and the reconnection of the river and King George’s Park with its surrounding environment. The scheme comprises significant public realm works and landscaping including playspace and pocket parks.
Having secured planning permission for the whole site, Rolfe Judd Planning are working alongside Rolfe Judd Architecture to deliver the commercial element of the scheme on behalf of Workspace with construction due to start on site in early 2023.
