The project involves the redevelopment of a garden centre site and car lot. The approved scheme will deliver 386 residential units, a business hub, café and community space within a comprehensive development, comprising eight blocks of apartments of 6-8 storeys with a building of 14 storeys adjacent to The Hyde, Hendon.
Also provided within the scheme are improvements to landscaping, with a gateway public plaza that continues as courtyard public space running through the site to the Silk Stream at the eastern edge of the site. The conversion from industrial to residential will also open up the boundaries of the site and repair the street frontage to improve the streetscape for neighbouring properties.
The scheme was approved in Autumn 2015.
