The scheme involves the complete refurbishment of the existing property at 16-28 Tabernacle Street, including the reconfiguration of the internal layout, reconstruction of the façade, and extensions at roof and ground floor level.
The improvements to the building required careful consideration ensuring the scheme did not impact on an established roof garden of a nearby affordable housing block.
With both residential and office accommodation at a premium in the area, the scheme makes the most effective and efficient use of the site. We worked with Islington Council officers to ensure the scheme could achieve that goal while according with planning policy , and the needs of the local community.
The scheme was allowed at appeal in 2015.
