Woodberry Down MasterplanWorking with Fletcher Priest Architects for the outline component and Rolfe Judd Architecture for the detailed component, we submitted a new masterplan for Woodberry Down.A review of the previous masterplan determined it was no longer fit for purpose following the economic conditions in the previous five years. Berkeley Homes, in consultation with the Council, proposed a new plan to deliver more benefits for local people, more open space and greater density and height, which would deliver more homes and other community uses. The application was submitted as Hybrid with phase two, which would deliver 670 homes as a detailed component and phases three to eight (which would deliver 3200 homes) in outline. The application had strong support locally and full consultation was undertaken with the local community and other stakeholders such as the GLA. The application was presented to Committee in February 2014 and granted unanimously.Client: Berkeley HomesLPA: LB HackneyArchitect: Rolfe Judd Architecture and Fletcher PriestSectors: Regeneration
