The London Social Committee hosted a hot dog lunch to make the most of the glorious late spring weather – let’s hope it continues well into summer!
The event was hosted by Jess and Callum, who served up delicious hot dogs made in true German style.

The origins of the hot dog are a flavourful blend of German tradition and American creativity. According to The Sausage Man, German immigrants began selling “little dog” sausages in bread in New York City as early as the 1860s. Another version of the story credits Charles Feltman, a German butcher, with popularizing the frankfurter-in-a-bun concept at his Coney Island stand in 1871 — arguably the start of the hot dog as we know it today.
