Raynes Park Playing Fields are owned by the AELTC, due-south of the main tennis grounds. Rolfe Judd Planning secured planning permission for 16 additional world class grass courts, 3 acrylic tennis courts within air domes, and the provision of a new state of the art Clubhouse and Maintenance Building to support these facilities. Landscaping improvements were also incorporated throughout the site, including the provision of a new grass pitch and 100m three lane, straight running track for wider community use.

The additional tennis courts have provided facilities for amateur tennis competitions, and further support AELTC’s Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative (WJTI), community and school’s tennis programme in Merton. The proposals were developed in consideration of the impact on residential properties surrounding the site, trip generation impacts and Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems.
