We are delighted to announce that our scheme, 72 Broadwick Street, has been recognised by the Building London Planning Awards, in partnership with the Mayor of London as the 2023 Best Mixed-Use Scheme.
This achievement is a testament to the dedication, vision, and collaborative efforts of our exceptional team who have worked tirelessly to bring this extraordinary project to life.
72 Broadwick Street stands as an example of innovation and sustainability, and successfully demonstrates how a diverse range of uses can be accommodated within one urban block in the heart of London. It has successfully integrated residential, commercial and leisure uses, all of them while working around the West End’s largest electrical substation, creating a harmonious and dynamic environment for its occupants and the wider community.
The refurbished and extended building consists of retail along Carnaby Street, offices on the upper floors, a range of flexible/alternative uses (including options for two restaurants and a fitness club), a new live music venue in the basement, and 15 residential flats at the top of the building. The development reflects the diverse and vibrant nature of Soho – characterised by entertainment uses and retail – but is underpinned by best-in-class employment spaces, attracting office workers back into the West End.
We would like to extend our congratulations to our client Shaftesbury Capital, the architect Buckley Gray Yeoman and the project management team at SPPM.
