Named the Mulryan Centre for Dance and located at the heart of the London City Island development is the new English National Ballet headquarters building, designed to be a hub of creativity with the island. The building was built by Ballymore as part of their ongoing commitment to community and educational space within the scheme.
Housed within a four storey iconic building within the Masterplan it is primarily focused onto the new public space within Trinity Square. The building accommodates the English National Ballet (ENB) and has been designed to meet their specific requirements. The building provides 8,290 sq. m of floor space, which includes a full scale stage, mirroring the finest performance venues in the world, which allows dancers to practice prior to going on tour. The exterior of the building has been designed as a translucent, light weight structure through which the silhouettes of the dancers within the studios will be visible.
