The complete redevelopment of 20 Farringdon Street provides attractive and sustainable office accommodation in the heart of the City of London. Four additional floors of accommodation were achieved, significantly increasing the volume of space upon a tightly constrained urban site.
The scheme provides new state-of-the-art office accommodation on the building’s upper floors, with a redevelopment of the existing public house at ground floor level. The redeveloped building is clad with floor to floor glazing to maximise natural light inside the building, creating a bright, modern office environment. Sustainability is a key feature of the new building; with the proposal aiming to deliver a more efficient, flexible and sustainable space for future occupiers in this part of the City.
In replacing the public house on the corner of Farringdon Street, the scheme will maintain the functional attractiveness of the area, as well as enhancing the local streetscape and utility of the property at street level.
