One of a series of station-led, mixed-use projects, to create value and enable station and environmental improvements, for the travelling public. Current schemes include Walthamstow, Guildford, Epsom and Twickenham.
Exceptional public realm is key to this scheme due to it’s pivotal location in the centre of Walthamstow. The main line train station, Victoria line underground station and bus service are all located together. A new public square with a retail perimeter is adjacent to the new station entrance.
The phased project has to date delivered 69 new homes, shops and a thirteen storey, 99 bedroom hotel, all arranged around the new landscaped square. The scheme includes a collection of 34 new, one and two-bedroom Metro-Pad lifestyle apartments, designed and located to achieve the best possible work/life balance.
The project was taken from inception and feasibility, through planning and production information with the first phase complete and occupied. Further new public realm will be provided by TFL.
The final phase of the development is now complete. A 12 storey residential “floating bronze cube” sits above Network Rail car park facility that had to be retained. It is all now sold and occupied.
